Golden and Mellow Fall Family at Chamna Preserve

Meet the Crabtree Family!  Another fun fall family!  It’s been a fun October meeting new people this year, and we had great weather in Richland in October!  The Chamna Preserve is such a popular spot in the fall, and for good reason!  It’s got beautiful fall colors, a variety of trees and also sagebrush, interesting rocks, logs, and grass, AND a beautiful river too!  This time of year the place is bustling with photographers on weekends!

This family was lots of fun!  Nicole and Brent came out for family photos with their three girls, Emma (a senior this year!), Hannah, and Evelyn.  Nicole brought her mom too, so we got to capture images with three generations of amazing women!  We had a good time wandering around the preserve, and highlighting all the natural features of this area.

All of my senior sessions this fall have been guys, so it was a refreshing change to get to photograph the girls this time!  Emma is a senior at Kamiakin High School this year, and while I didn’t formally do her senior portraits (her mom did!!), I did take the opportunity to get some portraits of her too, like a bonus senior session!  And her sister, Hannah is a freshman this year, so it was like a mini senior session preview!  Evelyn is a little firecracker–I told her she could be my assistant for this session, and she took the job so seriously she didn’t want to get in any of the pictures!  She was a great little assistant for the photos she wasn’t in, and totally hammed it up for the photos she WAS in!

Nicole, thanks for trusting me with your family photos this fall!  It was fun to meet your whole family, photograph your beautiful girls, and share some laughs on such a beautiful evening.  I hope Emma has a great finish to her senior year!
