The first senior I ever photographed was my neighbor, Dylan, back in 2018 at the Uptown Shopping Center in Richland. I was super new to taking portraits, and I jumped at the chance when his parents asked me. Well here we are, 6 years later, and I finally got to take a senior back to the Uptown!
Logan, Hanford High School class of 2025, wanted a cool urban look to his senior photos, but also have some in a natural area, so we spent his extended session at both the Uptown, and then over to the Chamna Nature Preserve. He brought along his baritone saxophone, which was just so fun to photograph!
I’m so impressed with Logan. He wants to be a music teacher! I’m a former teacher, but I arrived later to that career, and it’s amazing to me to think about students who are still in high school, and know they want to teach high school. How wild must that be?! I bet they pay attention to their teachers in a whole new way!
Like a lot of my senior guys, Logan wasn’t all that excited about his senior portrait experience, but we ended up having lots of fun, and by the end of it, I think he was having a good time too. I appreciate his good attitude! I really enjoyed getting to know him, and hear about his band adventures, and interests for the future. Getting to know my clients is one of my favorite parts about this job. I get to meet the most amazing people!
Logan, thank you for being such a great sport. You were willing to try new things with me while I figured out how to photograph some fun angles with your saxophone, and photographing you was so fun and easy. You’re seriously a natural! I hope the rest of your senior year is amazing! Go Falcons!
