Miranda and Joel got married in the cutest little church in Basin City, Washington on a gorgeous spring day. Surrounded by their families and close friends, Miranda and Joel said “I do” at the Messiah Lutheran Church. Miranda’s grandma, Rosann created the beautiful floral arrangements and stunning bridal bouquet that seemed like it was picked right out of a meadow. We had a gorgeous, sunny spring day!
Since the pandemic, more and more couples are seeking smaller weddings, and I’m finding that these small events are perfect for my skill set, without taking away from my weekend family time. For me, short and sweet is just right, and I’ve been opening my business to more and more small weddings the last couple of years. It’s definitely a fun change for me! Creating beautiful flat lay images of the wedding details was so fun! I’m kind of hooked now!
The bride walked down the aisle to a rendition of The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” played by a pianist and violinist, and a more perfect song for the day could not have been had! The ceremony was intimate, sweet, and the bride and groom only had eyes for each other.
After the ceremony we did portraits on the church’s front lawn, including family formals and then the whole group went into Kennewick for dinner together. A larger reception is planned for sometime in the summer when more family can make the trip into town.
Miranda and Joel, thank you for inviting me to capture your beautiful micro-wedding, and trusting me to capture your special day. It was an honor to witness! I hope that these photos take you back to that day, those feelings, and serve as an eternal reminder of the love you share. It was just the most perfect day! Congratulations to you both!
