Meet Kim!
Kim is my beautiful friend, fellow photographer, and creative mind behind Kim Wiberg Photography, here in the Tri-Cities! Kim came to see me for some updated headshots, and just-for-fun photos. It’s always an honor (and all the pressure!) when another photographer asks me to photograph them, but we had so much fun together.
Kim mentioned to me that sometimes when she’s in front of the camera she gets ‘a little in her head’ and I think this is something we’ve ALL felt! Having a camera focused on you can make you hyper aware of your body, your clothes, your hair, your smile and it’s hard to get those thoughts out of your head for sure! My goal whenever I start a session is to normalize this feeling, and let my subjects know that it’s totally okay to feel that way, and I will do my best to make you feel comfortable so that you can shine in front of the camera! I can’t tell you how many times clients have told me at the end of the session that it was actually fun and easy, and they felt beautiful, relaxed, and excited for the photos. It definitely can take a little while to get there, but that’s why an hour is the perfect amount of time!
Kim and I headed down to the Richland Public Library and warmed up with an urban look. The light here was so great in the afternoon, and it’s just a cool building to include in the photos. Next, we went over to Chamna, had an outfit change, and finished out the session with the sunset over the hills, at a beautiful overlook on the Yakima River. That golden sunset light was stunning, and the images of Kim there are gorgeous!
Kim, thank you for trusting me with your photos. It means so much coming from another photographer! I hope this session was fun for you too! You are such a strong, beautiful, amazing woman, and it’s an honor to call you my friend, and fellow professional. I can’t wait to see what you do with these images!
Ah! Thanks so much Eileen! I loved our session and will be coming back for more!
