Spring Family Session at Chamna Natural Preserve

Ahhh this family!  I have known Eric since our cross country running days at Hanford High in Richland, Washington.  Although we weren’t super close friends, somehow we kept in touch enough over the years (Thanks, facebook!).  So when he was looking to move back to Richland, and get a teaching job, I told him about an opportunity in my science department at Hanford High, he applied, and we hired him!  Soon after they moved here from Japan with newborn Walker, I got to meet his wife, Karissa, and after working together for a few years, now we’re not just (former) coworkers, we’re friends, and we’re so lucky to get to do life with them!

We scheduled this session in the late morning, rather than for the glowy evening light, because evenings are hard for littles!  We had the most perfect thin clouds so we had great light, and because of the cool, wet spring we’ve had, Chamna was lush and green, and the wildflowers added some color! Eric brought along his parents for a few photos, and having them on my side of the camera sure helped get the smiles and giggles from the kids!

Eric and Karissa, thank you for believing in me!  Your support means so much to me, and it’s been so great to watch your family grow.  I love the positivity and relaxed attitude you bring to your sessions, it’s so easy to capture looking great!  Your boys are always so much fun, and sure do keep me busy during sessions!  Here’s to many more years of friendship ahead of us!
