Meet the Fosters! Chelsi told me she usually takes her own family’s photos, but that this year, she wanted to let someone else (me!) have the job, so she could enjoy just being in the photos for once, and I love this for her!
This family was looking for someplace green, so we chose Chiawana park along the Columbia River in Pasco, Washington. This spot has some great natural areas, and also some great trees and logs, and the light coming off the river is just so nice during golden hour! We snuck in their session this fall at the end of September, right before the leaves started changing colors. You can tell the light was glowing, and we had so much fun capturing these photos.
Chelsi and Travis’ kids, Macy and Cavin are at such a fun age and looked so cute with their family! Cavin has an adventurous side (we had to get some pictures of him jumping off the logs), while Macy has a quiet confidence.
I love how these guys dressed up just the slightest bit for their session. I think getting just a little bit dressed up for photos makes the images timeless, classy, and really elevates the images to something you would want to hang up and display in your house.
Chelsi, thank you for taking a break from your own family photos to enjoy the experience of being in them! I hope it was relaxing to let someone else take the wheel and capture your magic! Maybe next time we can get the whole extended family, too!
