This is AJ, Richland High School class of 2026, and the sweetest guy you’ll find!
AJ was a little nervous to start his session, and I totally get it! That feeling of being the only one in front of a camera can be daunting! I told AJ what I tell almost every client: 1) I will coach you through every move, and you’ll never have to think about what to do, and 2) If it feels wierd, you’re probably doing it right! Being in front of a camera isn’t really like real life, and you will be standing or sitting in ways that you wouldn’t do if you were hanging out at home, but that’s kind of the point, right??
Once things started though, AJ warmed up real quick! He was totally a natural, and he quickly realized that it’s actually a lot of fun having photos taken, and not scary at all! He almost knew what I was going to have him do before I said it and he was practically posing himself! I could tell he kind of loved taking photos, and I could feel his confidence boost!
We spent some time with the sagebrush at the Badger Mountain Trailhead, and then ended the session with a quick outfit change, and then we featured his truck! There’s ample room for parking at Badger Mountain, so we had room for wide shots with the truck and the glowing evening light. I could tell this truck was important to AJ, and I’m so glad he decided to feature it! It was so fun posing in and around the truck, and coming up with new and interesting angles to shoot from. At one point, I even climbed up on the hood! The variety of images we got was a great bonus!
AJ, thank you for being such an awesome guy, and thank you for being so easy to photograph! I loved how into it you got, and I hope you had a lot of fun too! I hope the rest of your senior year is fantastic, and I can’t wait to see where you go from here!
