Guys, this one is such a special one!

Meet Raymond, Richland High School class of 2025!  Raymond and his family were my first ever paying clients back in 2018, and despite all odds, they stuck with me over the years, and now he’s graduating from Richland High School, class of 2025!

I send a questionnaire to all my seniors before their session, so I can make sure I have the details about their school and graduating class, and also get some information so I can get to know them a little better and what they are looking for in their senior photos.  It was in here that Raymond specifically asked for this:

“The Deborah surrounded by seahorses pose from Napoleon Dynamite.”

Well!  Seeing as how Napoleon Dynamite is my favorite movie (and I’m pretty sure it’s something Raymond and I have bonded over in sessions past), I knew I absolutely HAD to deliver this!  So I studied the scene from the movie, memorized Deb’s lines, and at a random moment in Raymon’s senior session, I delivered!  HAHA!  It was so great when he realized what was happening!  Here’s the result!

Raymond is heading to Northwest Nazarene University where he’s got a scholarship to play Lacrosse with their men’s team!  What an incredible opportunity! I’m super proud of and excited for this kid, who was just a little guy when I first got to photograph him back in 2017:

Raymond, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph you like Deb for your senior photos!  It has been such an honor to watch you grow up through my lens, and I just don’t know what we’re all going to do while you’re away next year!  I hope the rest of your senior year is amazing!  Good luck at college, and I hope I’ll get to see you when you’re visiting home!
