One of the coolest things about being a family photographer in the town I grew up in, is reconnecting with old friends who still live here too. Getting to spend time with people I knew back in high school, and connect now as adults is just so special, and then getting to capture their big life moments? It’s the icing on the cake. So when Misty and Tony reached out about a maternity session this winter, I was here for it! Misty and I were friends in high school, and we once hired Tony to install some flooring in our laundry room, but we haven’t really stayed in touch, so I was thrilled when they got in touch! They had decided to keep this pregnancy mostly private and hadn’t shared with the world that they were expecting. Now that baby girl is here, and the secret’s out, I’m free to share the news!
We lucked out with a beautiful, warm, sunny afternoon in January, while there was still a little bit of snow on the ground. We opted for photos along the country road leading up to their house, which is here in Richland, WA, but looks like it’s way out in the country! I love exploring new locations, and this one did not disappoint! Light coming through pine trees might be my favorite, and it totally gives this session some mountain vibes. Throw in some broken down farm equipment and fields of grass, and we were totally transported!
Misty and Tony, congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl! It was a thrill and an honor to capture this moment in your life, and I hope these photos will always serve as a treasured reminder of your life as a family of four. Seeing you after all these years was just awesome. You have such a beautiful family!
LOVE IT!! What a sweet family and what incredible photos! I think light through the pine trees is my favorite now too!
